Parking brake for your Polaris Ranger 1500
Installation is simple and quick.
** Don’t overstretch the spring prior to installation!!**
1. Remove the bottom 2 nuts (13 mm) from behind the brake pedal.
a. Doing this will be easiest on most models with a ratcheting wrench, as there is limited space to get to them.
2. Place the parking brake
3. onto the two studs, ensure both holes are positioned correctly before proceeding.
4. Use the two supplied coupler nuts to re-install, these will make it easier to attach a wrench to for tightening. (Sorry, getting these tight can be a PITA, there’s just not a lot of room)
5. To operate, press the brake pedal with your right foot, use your left toes to slide the red lever until it locks on to the brake arm. To release, just push the brake pedal again.
ALWAYS USE PARK WITH THE SPRING BRAKE THINGY AND MAKE SURE YOUR BRAKES ARE IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION.
